Circle B Bar Reserve is a
treasured Environmental Area of Polk County in Lakeland. You can get access to
this area through the Polk’s Nature Discovery Center. If you’re a nature lover,
you will have an amazing time with the Polk’s Nature Discovery Center’s outdoor
educational programs. This coming Halloween, one of the best tours they offer
is the Nature Tour, which is a personalized tour that will let you explore the
Banana Creek Marsh. The Nature Tour will get you up close and personal with a
variety of birds and plants in the area. This is great opportunity to enjoy the

For some people, making the
sweets is more fun than eating them. On October 29th from 2pm to 4pm, chefs
from different assisted living facilities will compete at this year’s Sweet
Wars. It’s a dessert bake-off guaranteed to bring fun and excitement to all and
proceeds will be given to the Volunteers in Service to the Elderly. The public
gets to vote for their choice of dessert which will determine the winner.
Coffee and water will be available to the participants too as they try to taste
all the sweets created by the chefs.

going back to school, there are different educational opportunities near

Polk County Public Schools and other local businesses and industry
professionals as they showcase the best educational institutions in town. On
November 6 and 7, residents and visitors will learn more about different
programs for Pre-K to adult.
